Hey guys I drive a 99 gs3 and I'm having problems with my brakes. I have no clue what it is...the problem is i have gone through 2 sets of rear brake pads in the past year and my fronts has 60% remaining (I had the front pads for about 2.5 years, strange...it should be going out before my rears...) ...I'm very positive my e-brake is always off...also i finally realized when i brake i really have to apply lots of pressure when coming to a complete stop...(car is completely stock btw) So what I want to know is what do I need to check/fix?

Can you pump the brakes and get better pressure?
I just today replaced my front rotors and pads. I believe I had warped rotors due to pulsing in the brakes at low speed. I also was experiencing a soft pedal that would firm up if I tapped the brakes and then applied pressure. the right side change out went great with no issues. With the left side and with the new rotor and pads installed the tire would hang up and barely turn by hand.
It ended up being the bottom caliper bolt. It is supposed to move in and out freely for the pads to float. Mine was frozen. I took it apart and cleaned it up and put some white grease on it and put it back together.

the brakes are better than ever now.
