Default Front end shake...maybe the rotors?

I'll try to explain this the best I can.

When I start to go past 25mph, the front end starts to shake. The shaking gets worse the faster I go. If I turn the wheel slightly to the right, the shaking increases, but when I turn it to the left the shaking does not increase. When I brake the front wheel does start to wobble.

I'm thinking it's the front rotors, but I'm also thinking it may be the right ball joint. Any opinions on what may be the problem?

hard to tell without driving the car. but the shaking when braking could be the rotors. the one just driving could be a bad tire most likly, if a tire slips a smeet belt inside you will feel a bid wobble in the steering wheel and it will increase when you turn. best way to check is to raise the car and to spin the tire as fast as you can in the front and look if its out of round or wobbly and not streight.

I'll check that out tomorrow, but I don't think that's the problem. I experienced the shaking first on my 17" worn out tires . I switched to my stock rims with plenty of tread yesterday and the shaking is still there.

may be a bad wheel bearing. just fixed that on a friends 92 sc300 5spd. it had vibration that got worse at higher speeds and wasnt brake related though.

I don't think it's a wheel bearing. I think a faulty wheel bearing sounds like metal on metal grinding? There's no sound like that.

I'm taking it to a shop tomorrow.

did the shaking just start one day or has it been getting worse over time?

I had the same problem, make sure your stud bolts are torqued properly......I just had to snap on me while driving

Im gettin kinda of tired of this car already......****ty suspension dynamics, lexus made a poor choice on bushings, the car dances in the rain or on uneven pavement, terrible gas mileage etc

How many miles are on your car?

Probably not the rotors since it happens when you are not braking.

Look into the balljoints or wheel bearings as mentioned earlier.

First thing I thought of was alignment, but probably not since it just happened randomly. If you hit a nasty bump or dip, then it would be a different story.

I have very similar issues with mine. It started shaking slightly at highway speeds, good tires, lots of tread, balanced properly, TT wheels. I'm starting to think its a wheel bearing.

if you have more shaking as you are turning then it is a wheel bearing. It's not until the bearing is really worn out when the grinding noise starts to happen. Check the ball joints and maybe the rack bushings while you're under there. Get it done quickly because bad bearings eat tires pretty quickly.

I got the car up on a lift today. The passenger front wheel spins freely, but the driver side wheel does not spin freely. You need to push it hard to spin the wheel. The mechanic told me either the caliper is seized or the brake hose is the problem. I changed the caliper a year and a half ago. The brake hose does not seem to have any kinks in it. Is it possible that the hose can be clogged up?

dude its not the line and most likely not the caliper. if the line was clogged you would get limited brake force from that wheel. never seen it happen. if the caliper is the culprit do this first to check. take it off and lube every single slide on it. also try to move the piston with a c clamp or a pair of vise grips. if it moves then it is most likely not stuck.

wheel bearings dont just go from good to making grinding sounds.

5sp_jzz30, what about the fact that the driver side wheel doesn't move freely? What does that mean?
