Default Tein Flex vs. Tanabe vs. Megan Racing??? (Coilovers)

Hey guys I was going to order JIC coilovers but they are gonna take way too long to get them. Now my choices of coilovers are narrowed down the these three:

1. Tein Flex
2. Tanabe Sustec Pro
3. Megan Racing

I believe all 3 kits come with the upper pillow mounts. I also want a coilover kit which includes the upper pillow mount so that I will not need a spring compresser to install the coilovers. Also I plan on pretty much dumping my car making it very low . Just low enough that a pack of cigarettes will fit under the bumper. If you guys were in my shoes, which kit would you prefer?!?!?

you dont need a spring compressor to install coilovers
tein flex will slam your car, dont know about the latter 2 (i'm a brand wh*re, havent heard anything about the tanabe's on the 2GS, and wouldnt touch your #3 listed)
keep in mind, if you have future plans for a kit, or even going air...reconsider your choices. also, take into consideration what size wheels you may upgrade.

Tein or Tanabe over Megan. Have you looked into HKS? They are in the same price range as the JIC's and same quality. Also there are these on Ebay, I have purchased parts from this seller before and he is a good guy and legit. Here is a link to them if you want some JDM goodness.

Thats my old car, guy made a sig for me and I never used it so I figured I would rock it for a little while though it's a little late, lol. Thanks though!

On topic though, if you can affod it go with coilovers like 4ntvings said, it's worth it in the end.

Yea I looked into the HKS also. The only thing holding me back from either JIC or HKS is the wait. The wait is gonna be about 2 months

Well if you get tein ss for example, they don't come with the upper pillow mount so then you will need a spring compressor to remove the upper mount from the stock suspension. I don't have plans for going air at all and 19's is whats gonna go on the car.

Hey Whitevomr - I can't find any HKS local either - where can you get them from that will get them direct from Japan?

Whoever you buy them from, they will be getting them from Japan. Thats why theres such a long wait. Unless you find a shop or warehouse that has them in stock in the states. Also contact Carsons Toyota, they sell a lot of aftermarket parts for our car. Thats who I called for some parts.
