TANABE SUSTEC PRO 5 FTW~!!!
just because im getting it.
i was stuck in this dilemma too. didnt know whether to get tein CS, SS, megan, or tanabes. CS was out of the picture because they keep raising the prices. megan are relatively cheap with up to 4" drop and 32 way adjustable. (+ its the most drop. cheap. replaces whole coil system. - its not EDFC compatible. ive heard *not saying i believe it* that the megans are not realiable) not realiable as in...for many mazda's...the coils blow out easy. for their other products...megan's have bad fitment and sometimes weak material. idk...i just get kinda skeptical about these kinda things.
i was gonna get the SS, but i realized its not a full coilover system. on the tein website, it says that SS are dampening system. but for other sites like optionimports_com or hopupracing_com show that its a coilover system. but the SS is half coil half damp. *by looking at the picture*
so...finally after all that thinking, i decided to go with the tanabes. they have a good drop. up to 2.5" and its a full coilover system. and its EDFC compatible. actually its call TEAS. but same thing. HAHAHHA

well....i hope ALL that information helped. HAHA x]

^^^^^ +1

I've had my Tanabe PRO FIVE for almost a month and I didn't regret a bit for getting it! Although I haven't had a chance to compare Tein SS and my PRO FIVE side by side but I'm very happy with what I got. I had experience with coilovers for my S4 and my previous cars, this gotta be the best by far.

I also have the tanabe sustec pro 5 and the ride can be from smoother than stock to stiff like a rock and you can also say goodbye to alot of bodyroll.

In an attempt to persuade you towards TEIN:

The Club Lexus promotion code applies to the TEIN products as well.

i mentioned above that doing some research, to me (by looking at the pictures and reading the tein websites) the SS are dampening systems that are height adjustable. to me by looking at the picture, it look half damp half coils.

can someone clarify what the SS really are?? i know i voted for tanabe pro 5 , but i really want teins (because of their dampachi accesories LOL) and because i know a lot of people who have experience with teins and like them alot. the only reason i was leaning to get tanabes because they are a full coil system and TEAS compatible and just because the SS looked like damp systems instead of full coil systems (and EDFC is only compatible with CS i heard) jw...does anyone have SS with the EDFC??

anyways....can some please clarify this for me??

thanks

I have tein SS, full coilover over system, they just use the stock mounting plates on the top to keep the cost down AND perfect fitment *i guess*, this is why in the pics it doesnt look like 'full coils' but they are, and no i dont have EDFC cuz im broke ... maybe later i'll add it on.

SS can drop lower than CS, and thats the bottom line for me
