I am hitting 100k on my car. i've heard ppl's ball joints went out on them. i was just wondering, were there any signs b4 they went out? or it's just out of nowhere, like timing belt. ty

There are lots of threads out there that mentions balljoints failure

the most common symptom is having clunking noise as you turn at low speed or going over speed bump. Replace yours anyways because you never know when it'll snap.

pops, clicks, snaps.. and eventually steering vibration then wobble. you will know somthings up!

thax, i read lots of posting about ball joints, but not much talking about the signs b4 it happens, that's why.

I just assumed it was a lot like a timing belt.....something I wanted to replace BEFORE it became a problem. I replaced mine at 89K.
