Put in the TEINs.......BUT.......
Okay, so I just lowered my ride tonight with TEIN HA's, but there's a funny clicking noise like a rod is constantly being hit or something on the rear driver's side everytime I go over some small bump. Any ideas what that sound is?
Also, I don't remember whether or not I need a camber kit to correct the alignment on my car. I dropped it like 2" or so in the front and a little less in the rear. My mechanic said that it looked like fixed arms, so I'm not sure what to do.
PLEASE HELP!!! Thanks in advance......

This is exactly what we did tonight......
1. Took out the front
2. Replaced the front
3. Took out the back
4. Replaced the back
My mechanic double checked everything for tightness. I have no clue what to do.
I guess I'm gonna jack up the car in the morning before work and see if anything's loose. If not, I'm still going back to him tomorrow to check and get alignment.
So.........do I need a camber kit?
I am getting frustrated.

this is what exactly happened to me before, but in my case i had Ltuned springs and shocks, not coilovers, BUT, i know that the "assembling steps" matters, it is that the process and steps that u put your coilovers in, NOT the steps that u took out and front and rear and stuff like that, its the minor "procedures" during the installation of the coilover that matters.
hope it will work out fine for u

Does anyone know the specific order to put in the coilovers?
For example, tighten up the bolts up on the tower and then connect everything on the lower end (sorry, I don't know the correct terms) or vice-versa?

I have the same problem too when I first got the HA installed, but then i bring it back to the shop and they said the rubber thing on the spring didn't installed properly, so that's why i had the noise.......dunno if this help or not.
BTW, how many clicks do you have for your front and rear damping level? I am trying to get the most comfort setting, but still can't figure it out . I have 18(from the right) for the front and 10(from the right) for the rear .

It's fixed!!!
Okay, so I went back to my mechanic today and he found the problem right away.
The TEINs come with a cream colored rubber bumper for the rear coilovers. This needs to be replaced! The rubber bumper is too small and will slip through, yes slip through the rear strut (or whatever goes into the trunk part of the car). Therefore, the "knocking" sound comes from the lack of dampening of the rear coilovers.
To fix this problem, you'll need to take out both rear coilovers, take out the cream rubber bumper and use your stock GS bumper (black colored) that was on the rear originally. The stock rubber bumper is thicker than the TEIN, which gives more padding. My ride is soooo sweet right now because of the fix. Now all I need is an alignment........
Hope this helps to anyone who has the same problem.
BTW, where can I adjust the ride? I looked all over for it and can't find it and don't know where to "click". I'm probably just missing it when it's right in front of my face!

Kev,
good to hear that.. i am not sure if this is the same bump stop that many guys had problem with before when they installed the l-tuned shocks..now we all advice those to use the FACTORY one when they install the l-tuned shocsk. i guess this apply to TEINS as well...enjoy the ride.
