Default Help on Daizen control arm bushings

the big bushing on the #1 lower control arm (j castor arm) was pressed out, and when my installer was pressing it in, he cracked the lip of the bushings, therefore making it useless.

Where can I get just 1 bushing? and also how did you guys press in the bushing? my installer said he actually needs to grind away the insides of the arm.

There should be no grinding or cutting involved whatsoever. What you can do is get one of those hose clamps and clamp the part where the lip is and then press the bushing in slowly. Use A LOT of grease. This method has been done before by a buddy of mine who has installed at least a few set on 2nd Gen GS with no problem. In fact, recently he did an install for GS3Tek.

Let me know how it goes. Are you installing just the caster?

One side of the castor arm has a radius or chamfer on it and the other side does not. If you push into the sharp side it will cut your bushing.
