rotor question
so far i know you can do the Ls400 the Ls430 or the supraTT brakes on the sc,but i was wondering, since i work at a dealership and i can get a good discount on parts, would i be able to shoot for Ls460/600 rotors or GX470 rotors or the biggest i can get?would that work at all? how much work would that require? thanks a lot

how much bigger are the ls460/600 brakes(the piston size) and rotor size compared to supra or ls400 ones? the gx470 rotors wont work because they are 6 lug.
you also have to figure out how much your break bias is going to be thrown off. putting huge breaks in the front and doing nothing in the rear or even supra tt rears will still mess up the bias. you might be able to lock up the fronts with the rears doing very little. that worse then having a properly working system...even stock.
btw anything is possible if you have the time and equipment to do it. i have all the equipment but no time. come summer time i may try some "nice" SC projects but as of now i say stick with the ls of supra breaks. i finally put on my ls400 breaks this past weekend and they are much better then stock. much better.
btw build calipers from the dealer is not going to be cheap. i worked for a shop and i got VERY good discounts on parts. we odered so much that we didnt have a spending limit on the shop account at all.
if i were you i would go to autozone or equivalent and order some supra tt calipers. pay for them. then take yours and return them as core. it has worked for a few friends and it makes the calipers extremely cheaper then even buying used off of forums.
