Default ls400 calipers on sc400.

i was trying to put 2000 ls400 calipers on my sc400 using sc 400 rotors because i heard they fit but i cant seem to make it work out. the caliper in the front near the pad hit the rotor. where the caliper mounts to the car it seems like it pulls the whole caliper in to far thus making the caliper hit the front face of the rotor.

does anyone know if the ls400 calipers will fix this problem? what should i do.

also the calipers hit my tt wheels. what can i do about thiat? if i add a spacer to move the caliper out a little it will contact the wheel even more than it does.

any input would help.

thanks

jimmy

Take some pics and post them so we can see what you're trying to explain.

there on the right side because they only mount up one way. if i flip them around to the other side the caliper would be way off. if i add a washer in between the caliper and the mounting point in the back it would then clear my rotor problem but then they would hit the twin turbo supra wheels. ill see if i can get a pic.

I believe LS rotors have thicker friction surface than the SC400 rotors.
I suggest to get 95-00 LS rotors, you can get them for as low as $80 shipped.

yeah..what he said

sc400 are 296mm(32mm thick) ,95-00 are 319mm (28mm thick<-- that will fix ur prob!)with a different total disc height (51 vs 60mm)

and you need to use the ls400 mounting bolts.. the SC/GS bolts are too long (or use a thick washer)

pics of your prob pls.

Yeah, I tried to the same exact thing! No SC400 rotors will not ft with LS calipers and TT wheels, you will get rubbing and won't be able to move.

Yes you need LS 400 rotors, Ebay has some for cheap that work just fine. That's what I did! Works great for daily driving.

I got mine from ebay $80 shipped. Make sure you get the right application and must be zinc plated or the hub part will rust in 1 day.

I have the PN for LS bolts, they are just about dollar something at Carson Toyota, I'd rather do that instead of washers.
