Unhappy Daizen rear sway bars snapped

Anyone else had this experience with this sway bars? I had it installed together with Tein CS a little over two years ago. Car was never abused and was used primarily for daily commuting. Any idea if Daizen will replace this? E-mailed both dealer and Daizen yesterday.

Its most likely out of the warranty period (if there was any in the first place). Good luck on convincing Daizen to replace the bar. BTW, did you set it in soft, medium, or stiff?

If I'm not mistaken, it was in medium setting

with gsteg's question. there's some science, after i read through thousands of pages in here, about the coilover damper settings vs sway bars and the related stress each part undergoes during normal and harder driving cases. i was thinking to get sways as well, but my setup is already stiff and i think sways will only make it stiffer = not good, but i dont know...if i do, i'll need to consult the walking 2GS encyclopedia (he knows who he is) LOL

since you're reaching out to both parties, thats a good start. post back your result after contact GL!

Driver side. About 6 inches away from the bend.

hmm. kinda wondering if the cause could be the sway bar's material. is it hollow or a solid bar?

by the way, have any pics?

It's a hollow bar.

Keep in mind that Rarely do you have aftermarket sway bars break. There are always exceptions, but they do not break on a daily basis.

yeah i've never really heard of sway bars breaking. hopefully it was just a defect. if they have 99% quality, there's that 1 out of 100 parts that'll break. maybe you got that one.

I'm pretty sure it was a defective one as I never drove the car hard, and my commute comprise mostly of freeways and paved roads. Still have not heard back from Daizen or the dealer

Let us know how it goes. I was looking into getting that sway bar. I'm pretty sure it was a defect because you don't really hear of them breaking.

Mine broke at the last adjustment hole closest to the bend. I had it set to the middle setting/hole.
