the rear is pretty hard, from what i remember i removed the caliper( should be 2 bolts holding it), but i dont remember if you can just remove the middle pin that holds the pads in place.

ok i just checked up on alldata. it does say you can just take out the shim, and then the pin in the middle which is holding the pads. and then you use a flat bar and push the caliper piston in.

sorry i dont have pictures, alldata wont let me copy

Here you go guys.

Remove anti-squel spring and pad guide pin
a. raise the "B" portion with hand, push up the "A" portion and disengage the anti-squel spring from caliper
b. remove the anti-squeal spring.
c. remove the clip and pad guide pin

Remove pads and anti-squeal shim
a. remove the 2 pads.
b. remove the 4 anti-squeal shims from each pad ( or you can use the new ones from the new pads, if they come with it)

Press in the piston with a monkey wrench handle or equivalent.

Install new pads

reinstallation should be reverse direction as removal

Hope this helps everyone for now. let me know if i am missing some info

let referr to this picture http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...y/caliper2.jpg

you would press on "A" and should be able to pull the pin out. if not over time it should be rusted or due to heat it will get stuck. so you might want to get like a small screw driver and push it out

what do you mean "is it outside or inside of the rotor."

no no no your gettingthis all wrong.

remove the anti squealing spring first. and then you remove the pad guide pin. if you dont do this step you cant remove the guide pin and pads.

it should be the same step:

a. raise the "B" portion with hand, push up the "A" portion and disengage the anti-squel spring from caliper this will help unlock/disengage the anti-squealing spring/clip
b. remove the anti-squeal spring.
c. remove the spring/clip and pad guide pin
d. then remove pads out of caliper

It wouldn't hurt to use something rubbery, but a cheaper solution is to fold newspaper (until its thick) and rest it in between the rotor and your metal bar.
