Default E-brake adjustment?

Hi, Is there a adjustment screw/nut or something for the Emergency brake on the GS4? I have to step on the e-brake all the way down to the floor. I noticed on my girl's 99 gs3,i only have to press the pedal like half way down.

need to check the rear shoes! sounds like they are shot, if its not the shoes you just need to adjust them out.

Take off the rear wheels. There should be an "access hole" in the brake rotor in between two studs. Rotate the rotor to put the hole to the lowest point it will go. Use a light to look in the hole and you should see a gear. (I had to move the hole a little forward to find the gear) Use a flat head screwdriver to reach the gear. Now just pull the screwdriver down or up to spin the gear and adjust the tension. I cant remember what way tightens it but I just move one way untill the rotor wont spin and then back off a little so it spins freely and its set. It should only take 3 or 4 turns. If you spin the gear 5 times and the rotor can still spin you went the wrong way. Its easier than it sounds. If you have aftermarket rotors you might not have the access hole. Just give it a shot.

If you have factory rotors, there is a hole in between two of the studs. When you take the wheel off you will see it if it is there. I dont have any pictures nor will I be able to take any for a couple days. Once the wheels are off read through what I wrote again and it will make more sense. It's just hard to write down.
