Well, I can tell you that the calipers are very nice. In fact, they're LS430 calipers that Toyota paints TRD on. All aluminum, 1 pce. fronts. See what size wheel the 430 uses stock and you'll know what size you need to clear them. I know 18's will clear, but I'm not sure about 17's.

actually, they are repainted/re-decal'd Supra TT calipers

and its not size (16" could fit, used on the LS400s) its the disk fitment, ie-if ur running an aftermarket wheel, you want something with a "High Disk" or "BBK-Friendly" fitment.

^These be TT brakes yo

Ya, those are. Those aren't what I'm talking about though. Why anyone would pay that for that kit is beyond me. Also, they're being advertised as aluminum calipers, when in fact they're are half aluminum and half steel.

I'm talking about the TRD kit for the Supra TT, among other cars, that uses rebadged LS430 calipers that are full aluminum calipers.

Not if they're LS430 calipers. You would need LS430 rotors to have proper caliper fitment.

those arent LS430 calipers, those are 6piston aftermarket-made calipers, prolly made by the likes of Wilwood, Brembo, AP Racing or the like. LS430 calipers are 4piston.

LS430 brakes look like this (minus the paint and decal of course)

also, stole this from AndrewW over at My.is

I have also confirmed that the TRD brake kit using LS430 calipers is a myth, they aren't the same at all. Although the TRD is radially mounted, and is monobloc, that is where the similarities end. The TRD caliper is wider which sits inboard far enough to not interfere with the conventional mounting locations, and is designed for a 323mm rotor, not a 315. I have compared the TRD dimensions from their drawing to the LS430 calipers and they are NOT the same. However, they are a gorgeous 4pot/2pot aluminum monobloc caliper, and are reasonably priced, they just won't fit IS300 uprights. Consequently I ordered my front and rear 4 piston Rotora brake kit. Perhaps someone knows someone with an LS, or has an LS, or has another project that these could be used for.

Thanks,

Andrew Wojteczko,

Holy poop, I think you're right! I stand corrected! I wonder if the bracket issue holds true for the SC as the IS...I would assume it does as I think our brakes are interchangeable...

I got good offers from local wrecking yard on Front LS430 brake calipers, has anybody tried to install this on SC300? I like to know if this is applicable or not.

Where is this kit from and more importantly, how much is it? Those are rebadged Stoptech calipers/rotors ... wondering if they're cheaper than a Stoptech-branded set ...
