Default Look, I broke this while changing rims!!!!

This is what i broke while i got my winter tires on.
What is the diff between sewell parts and dealer? I live in Canada and is it worth getting them from Sewell?
What else should i get that is in the same location as far as the wheel? Let me know guys and thanks

where do you guys lift the car from? I seem to have bent the underliner inside

The piece you broke is the ball joint, and if i'm not mistaken; toyota doesn't offer just the ball joint, you have to replace the whole lca.

As far as placement of your jackstand, or jack, if you go alittle further back from where you are, you can raise/support the car from your uni-body frame.

Replace both sides while youre at it

sewells is a dealer that serves CL. i was told that sewell's doesn't ship to canada. sewells has the parts you need for $120, don't know how much its going to cost to get to you. compare the price to your local lexus dealer.

holy crap. yer crazy putting a jack stand there. there are jacking points. its in the manual. easy to see too.

im starting to notice that not that many people on this site are mechanically inclined

From the looks of the first photo, I would change the tierod also. Looks like the boots are gone.
