Default TEIN V2.0 owners (and past V1.0 owners too)... how low can you go?

hi.

i had tein v1.0's on my GS before, and i couldn't get low enough because the perches ran out of thread, and the front struts kept bottoming out from not enough stroke length.

i was wondering if the v2.0 is capable of going lower, and if so, is it bottoming out?

about 1/4" in the rear, maybe 1/2" in the front.

if i use roll center adjusters in the front, i might be able to get lower, but the back end is done.

I have the RCA's from EM and when I put them on to lower the front more the upper control arm was hitting the top strut mount area. Therefore from my conclusion you can't lower the car more with the RCA only correct camber. I'm still waiting on some answers though. I have a thread on this, but with no real answers yet.

I had Tein CS version 1 and when I added the RCA my car dropped at least 1/2 inch - I actually needed to raise the coils in order to not destroy my front Vertex bumper. Not sure why you had a problem with the upper control arm hitting the top strut, but I certainly have not experienced this. I'm still using the RCA with my Zeal's - I would recommend the RCA's for both camber improvement and additional lowering.

I've called EM and John told me I would have to raise the car at least an inch or inch and a half. That means the block itself is an inch, which would mean it would lower the car an additional inch. However with that additional inch I would have to raise the car an inch to inch and 1/2 means the cars height is back to where it was before the block or actually 1/2 inch higher if I raised it an inch 1/2. So theoretically there is no way of it lowering the car more.

I wanted the blocks to lower my car a 1/2 inch more, but it wasn't drivable at 1/2 inch lower because it keep hitting. The ride height wasn't tucking a lot of tire or anything, its just that the control arm didn't have enough clearance anymore b/c of the block.

Conclusion - EM RCA could do Camber Correction
EM RCA couldn't allow you to lower the car more and be drivable
If this is different for other members with the EM RCA please chime in

TeeLex, is there a write up about the RCA's? This mod sounds interesting. Where can I buy some?
