TRD F&R Sways Installed - Impressions & Link to Pics
I got my TRD F&R Sways installed today at my local dealer. A couple of hours of labor; out the door for ~$175. They of course arrived via the GanzMan.
I made a special effort to tell the Service Rep about the proper install (clearance between said bar and speed sensor cable – he typed it into the invoice / work order; you should do that too).
They did a great job with nary and issue!
Now, for the drive home.
Preface: I have UGO F&R STBs / LTuned Susp / Ltuned Steering ECU / OEM 17s & Dunlops
Tighter, flatter, more responsive, more solid.
The whole front end seems more connected; I love it. I took a 90* turn, like a green arrow and an intersection with a little speed, and it was like point and shoot cornering; hardly any roll, very nice indeed. Granted, my other susp mods may be influencing the factor of effect, but it all sure adds up to a very solidly riding GS.
I went over some uneven road sections and did NOT find the ride harsh. I dunno, maybe I was just in a giddy blur, but it really wasn’t harsh at all.
I was contemplating doing the TRD LCB as well, but now, not sure. Only because not sure I could realize the gains, or the LCB could possibly make it harsh.
Of course I’ve got pics showing the clearance of the front bar and the speed sensor cable – they load in medium size, but can be seen in LARGE too.

And Bit’s are great in the other thread as well - https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...1&pagenumber=2
Many thanks to Bit and others who helped solve that debacle.
The sways are a worthwhile mod if you want flatter turns, and since they are TRD, your dealer should have little issue installing them for you. Oh yeah, they come in a kick butt BLUE .
Have a safe and enjoyable New Year!

AWESOME Dude!!!!
A most excellent addition to your arsenal of upgrades. So are you tossing the car about like you learned up in MD?!?
Wheels are on my spring shopping list so I can't wait to see what you end up going with!
Very nice,
Peter

Thanks guys.
Wheels: yeah, I know. I'm hot and cold with wheels. I just haven't found any that really jump out at me that I just have to have.
I need to get tires first for sure though. I discovered today that mine are in BAD shape, so I'm being careful until I get the new meats installed next weekend; the spare too.
Turns out that I do as well have the dreaded inside wear; on all four since my fronts were rotated to my back. So far inside on the tires that I never noticed it on earlier inspections.
Add to that the torture I put them through when in Asheville, and about 20 smoke clouds I've given birth to since then, and sure enough, I need new rubber. The tire shop does have a Hunter balance / alignment machine, so excellent bonus there!
