Default Disc Brake Hardware - please help

I have a GS400 and I was doing a suspension/rotor/brake upgrade and somehow I lost the little tension wire on the top of the pads that pulls them apart, none of the auto parts stores has them and unfortunately the closest Lexus dealership is about 3 hours away. I have a Toyota dealership down the street anyone know if a toyota vehicle uses the same brakes or utilizes the same hardware. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks

Thanks for the reply rominl, I don't post too much here just because usually I can search everything I need to know. Your name pops up a lot, so thanks for making this site the great resource that it is.

Sounds like the V shaped springs in the rear.

i don't recall there being any v shape wire spring in the rear. the rear is 2 pot one on each side.

chuck, i believe he's talking about the wire v-shape springs on the front calipers. i believe there are 2 per side. it's there to pull in the outer pads when the inner pad is pressed in

no probem jesod, always try to help

I second this assumption, the rear has a c-clip spring type clamp and the fronts have the v-shaped spring.

You will have to buy the hardware kit, im not sure if toyota uses them. Im sure they can cross reference it with lexus part numbers.
