People who did have problems getting the TSIB done post on the forums. Those who didn't have problems, don't. So a lot of satisfied customers go unnoticed. I got mine done troublefree and I couldn't be happier with the brake dust.

I agree, i didnt make this thread to rub it in ppls faces. Just wanted to post a positive brake TSIB fone call story.

I have no rattles too or moonroof wind noise. There is alittle wind noise when i drive with the roof open *pop up position* but hey its a open roof what can you expect.

I just dropped off my IS this morning for the brake TSIB, and an oil change. as well as complained about the front seat creaking, which I think has another TSIB. Didn't give me any problems at all, except that I got a Camry as a loaner. It's a nice car but it doesn't even come close to my IS.

They just called me and said the oil change and brakes are done, but they need to order another part to fix the seat, AND they said they found a small oil leak near the timing belt cover. So I will need to bring it back for those to get fixed. Everything is covered under warranty except the oil change, so no complaints from me except for the oil leak thing has me a little worried. They said it was dripping down and landing in the plastic gravel shields/undertrays so I never saw any oil dripping in my garage. I will have to keep a close eye on that.

I had a question. Will any dealer perform the TSIB replacement or do we need to go to the dealership where the car was purchased?

Mine was easy, no question asked. Even gave me a loaner for the service as I told them I am in the market for the RX sometimes this yr. Dont forget to check the pads availability (and pre-ordered it if not) b4 you drop off the IS.

So far, i like the new pads a heck lot better than the old ones! Less dust, less jittery (much smoother when breaking). I know this is a 'step down' in terms of performance for some ppl
