strange brake behavior on super slow turns
I saw some other threads via search about couldn't quite nail this one down before having its day at the service center so I thought I'd try here as usual.
A few weeks ago I noticed that when I slowed to a crawl to make it in someone's driveway and turned I got either a small pulse or a "give" feeling a time or two now. If I had to guess it was the passenger front area. It doesn't happen all the time but in the 3-4 times it has happened the situation has been the same -- turning and slow.
The service lights are on randomly too so I can't figure out wtf is going on without dropping it by this week. Each time I run up to autozone to check the lights it was goes away and they send me on my merry, confused way.
Any ideas?

When the CEL light comes on for a code, the code is stored in history. Even if the light goes off, there is still a record of it in the ecu. the guys at autozone probably don't know that or their scanner isn't capable of seeing it. Try taking it to a shop and just ask them to scan for history codes in the ecu and abs module. Shouldn't be to hard for them. Or find a buddy with a scanner. This sounds like an ABS problem and I've seen similar issues on GM trucks but not on a Lexus.

Autozone scanners are OBD2 only...meaning that they can't diagnose any other system outside of the OBD2 spec. The ECU in our cars are actually pretty amazing in terms of how many service and diagnostics you can do by yourself, but you just need to have the right scantool(a full functioned one can get quite expensive). OBD2 systems will only relate to emissions control and general engine operation parameters...nothing else.
