SUPRA rear subframe into a SC?? WILL it WORK?
I was wondering if I could install the whole mk4 rear subframe into a SC?
Has anyone done this?

I think if you want to use the MKIV Supra rear sway bar you have to use the subframe as well. So yes it should fit.

You can use just the rear subframe mounts from the Supra to use the sway bars. Replacing the entire subframe is an entirely different story. To the OP, if you do this, please document and take pictures as you go.

I believe "Supra DR" has done it and I also am preparing to give it a try.
EDIT: Wrong! I just read it again. He put the MKIV Subframe in his SC and that is what I am going to do.

Yes the MKIV rear subframe will bolt upto the SC. If I remember correctly, the only issue was something about the brakes or rotors. (Or was it the spindles)

I'm curious as well...
I see zero reason that it would be an upgrade of any sorts...

I was swaping the complete MKIV because I need the six speed diff, six speed axles, and brakes. Seems easier to bolt the whole assembly in.

Is the 6 speed rear stronger then the 5 speed? I was under the assumption that the SC had the Same rear end as the SC with some minor differences!

Yes..........
Of couse it's a upgrade. HD diff, axles, brake calipers, rotors, sway bar,
everything.
The only changes I made was the connectors on the ABS sensors &
swapped the parking brake cables.
I'll look around for pics.
