ABS, VSC, Signal Lights on after changing lower Ball Joints?
Just had my Lower Ball Joints changed. Now my Signal Lamps are displaying, ABS, VSC, & the VSC/off. I took it back, and had the brakes checked out and they're OK. My mechanic, said sometimes when you raise up the vehicle these will come on - to me - that doesnt make sense so I hoping to get some help here.
Any ideas on this (is there sensors on the axle?) & how to reset these sensors & get them turned off.
Thanks.

Did you ever find out what happened here? I just got my ball joints and tie rods replaced and now have the same problem. The mechanic said he needed to clean the sensor then I should drive 50 miles then the lights should go off. Of course I have now driven about 70 miles and the dammmm lights are still on.
If the shop doesn't fix this I going to go on a full court press and flame these guys on CL. I had high hopes for this shop as they are a Toyota performance-oriented shop with a good reputation in the AE86 community. I really wanted to give a glowing recommendation so that us NorCal CL folks had somewhere to go to besides Concord Lexus or all the way down to Exact Motorsports.

I had the same problem on my gs when I did the struts, balljoints and tierods.
I cant remember where I read but there was a way to clear the lights of your dash. Have the car running or in the on/acc key position (try it bothh ways) and try pumping the brake 10 or 15 times. Also try with the parking brake off and on when doing this pocedure. I found this info on this forum about a year ago or so if you search hard enough you can get more detail instructions. good luck

Edgie...you should try the search feature bro. I actually have not had any problems with my master cylinder. (knocking on wood) I have had my starter, ball joints, and tie rods replaced however. For the 90K service. I also had my water pump and belts replaced

Thought I resurrect this thread. Exact situation as OP. The shop doesn't want to take responsibility for it. Took it in with no ABS lights(none to be exact). Talked to owner of shop and he said I can take it for a second opinion to see if they actually caused it. So I left it at shop and supposedly owner was going to take my car to dealership and ask for their opinion( see whos at fault). Any ideas on what I can do to convince him? DFW members with their own shop would be a big help if I can get their opinion
