Tein Super Street Damper question.
Does anyone have first-hand experience with Tein Super Street Dampers on a GS400? Tein part number DSY98-KUSS2. Priced around $950. These are the ones that re-use your original upper mounts. Would appreciate talking to someone who has used these on a GS400. Thank you very much.

Yes. I went ahead and bought a set of the Tein SS dampers from Direct Tuning ($950 delivered). They will be here tomorrow, and I plan on installing them Saturday. I'll follow-up with the results.

PLUSSES:
TEIN SS Dampers cost me $950.
Received kit very well packaged.
Everything was very high quality.
Assembling the coil-overs is a breeze, no spring compressor required.
Coil-over is shorter than the stock shock, which is nice when jacking the car off the ground (not as much down travel).
Adjusting spanners were included.
Nice finish on the springs.
The tab on the front shocks for the speed sensor mount was welded on the shock in the exact right spot.
Very easy to adjust the height and dampening. No tools need to set the damping because the adjusting **** has a knurled finish.
Have not had any trouble with the coil-overs bottoming out (nice).
MINUSES:
The rear shock mounting eyelet was too narrow to fit properly in the lower control arm, and I had to add washers on the sides, approx 3mm total.
Spring rate (780 pounds/inch in front) is considerably higher than stock, and is in fact pretty stiff, and the ride isn't going to be appreciated by everyone (wife, in-laws,etc). That's a good way to keep them out of your GS400.
Ride on poor road surfaces and rough city streets is not the best.
Other - Discovered a trick for removing those plastic rivets on the trunk liner: Put a cheap tie-wrap (cable tie) through the slotted hole and pull straight out with your finger. See picture.

Also note- I'm using stock 16 inch wheels and tire size.
