Just bought a GS400. Need advice.
I finally bought a 2000 GS400!!! I also purchased a set of SPRINT 2" lowering springs. I was planning to replace the struts with new OEM Lexus struts (not KYB, or Tokico, or Bilstein) since I have been burned by after-market struts in the past (clunking, leaks, etc). My wheels and tires are stock 16 X 7.5 Lexus late-model six-spoke painted wheels, and 225/55-16 TOYO tires. Any advice would be appreciated. Also - Best place to get the lowest price on new OEM Lexus struts. Thank you very much.

get Bilstein HDs or Sports
my Eibach Springs with
OEM Shocks: Died out 6K miles
LTuned Shocks ($240 group buy): Died out 12K miles
KYB GR2s($380): 2 of them are currently dead at 15K miles
I don't even drive that hard. 80% Highway miles. These all don't seem to hold any drops at 1.5 inches or so. I believe their Compression Rates and Valving are really designed for Stock Height.
If I would have bought the Bilsteins at Shox.com at $459, they probably would have been better, Lifetime warranty and much better construction.

yup.
The coilover set for my AWD Turbo Talon has lasted me the same duration.
without any loss in stiffness. That car I drive...very hard.
The GS4 will get the Bilstein PSS next month.
...only because my Camry just got bumped up with Mille Miglia Rims,Potenzas,Brembo Rotors, Hawk Pads, Eibachs, GR2, and Whiteline Sways Bars.
I am fool...parted with money...

How do you like your Tein CS V2's? Any noise or creaks with them?
And how do they compare to the Bisltein HD's? Anyone want to comment on the difference between these two? I know you can't lower or adjust the Bilstein's dampening - so any comments as to how these compare would be appreciated in terms of the ride quality.
