Default Anyone know what this could be?

When I am just coasting and going like 15 to 25 mph, it feels and sounds like something is rubbing. I am not sure where it is coming from but I am guessing it's my brakes..When I am at a faster speed I don't feel a thing. I just thought I ask you guys here first before I take it to a dealer and ask them what it could be.
Thanks

Lex, when it rubs does the car shake? Do you feel a slowdown in acceleration? If so it is one or two of your 4 brakes. I had a problem like that last year where on of my brakes the calipers weren't letting go of the brake so it was getting stuck. At higher speeds the calibers I guess just "released" the brakes. I had to change one of the calipers because I found out it was rusted and thats where the problem was. For me it was only a $30 fix. I am not sure if calibers is the right name to use for that part. It wasn't the whole brake, only 1 piston that was used to clamp the brake on the rotor.

DIESELMAN63,

The car dosen't shake, it just feels like something is rubbing when I am just coasting. It's like a rubbing sound from the brakes I think. I just had my rotors cut and the pads sanded so I am figuring its my brakes. It really bothering me. Thanks for the rply though.

Default Caliper not releasing

Lex

Dieselman has it right. My 2001GS300 makes the same noise at low speed. I took it to my Lexus dealer for a fix under warranty, and they said it was tire noise.

Nuts! It's a dragging caliper. I'm going back to the dealer again after I determine which wheel is the culprit. I plan to jack up each side and spin each wheel by hand to see which one is dragging. Good luck with your dealer.
