i'm pretty sure the one u posted is a universal one, our trans tunnel is way higher. my friend had one on a sti, he said it made a noticeable difference, the car doesnt understeer anymore, it actually oversteers every now and then. kinda cool cuz its an awd. i have another friend that has the do luck one in his hachi and says it is noticeable. i doubt the universal one you posted is any good, save up and buy do luck rear cross bar

although it may state that its for the sc300, it is definately a universal one, they just lenghten the tubes depending on the make..Fitment is horrible, we put it in my buddies 180sx and had to use god knows how many washers to fit it. Also that humugo bracket on the ends most likely have to be cut/trimmed to fit..But overall, it did improve handling and stiffening of the chassis if thats what you want.

Im going to say that if it does anything to our chassis that it will be minimal. The rear tub of the sc is extremely strong and, like a rear strut brace, wont do much to the flex of the body. What are you trying to achieve by adding this? Its not going to help you turn nor is the body of the car known for excessive flex. I think your money is better spent elsewhere.

agree if you remove the rear seats on your sc and lift up the carpet there is a factory brace already there id spend that money on Stabilizer Bars Preferably TRD ones that is money well spent. if you are really worried that much about body rigidity then do what i did go buy a mig welder and spot weld all the seams 1 1/2" apart that will help . btw to have a shop do this its like 45 cents a weld and i had over 600 welds done.

For regular driving, heavy street racing, or even mild dragging, this cross bar isn't needed in any ways. It might be good for drifting, which requires a lot of hard leaning and cornering. Other than that, I don't think it's worth anything. It makes the interior more ugly, and not so cool. There could be some really cool stuffs to decorate for the interiors such as the custom seats, dash board, stereo, steering wheel...etc.

And if you want to show your car is a powerful car, then add a turbo system and put some gauges on the dash. However, if you want to really strenghten the car body against flexing, without making it obviously ugly, sorry for my word, then ugrading to bushings, strut bars and swaybars will do the job just fine. There're some available front hi-performance strut bars and swaybars already. You can still have the custom rear strut bar and swaybar made.

If you ever driven your car without a cage and then with a cage, you will know its a night and day difference. This kind of stiffening of the chassis can only help.

A bunch of bars that marginally do nothing but add more weight to an already heavy car
