Default Anyone has Tein HR??

Hi,

I've noticed that alot of ppl have Tein HA and was wondering if anyone got the HR. I am getting a super deal for the HR for $800 (of course not from the US) , but I would like to know the difference or your experience before i get them. Any ideas or feedbacks are greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

davezaristo,

I've had the HR's for about 2yrs now and regret not getting the HA's

I would definitely want something that is adjustable for my next set of coil-overs. It just gives you more settings to play/tweak with. But whether it's worth the extra $$$, you'll have to decide.

Unfortunately, I don't have anything to compare them to. But personally, I think they're a little "soft".

Hope this helped.

I am actually going to HK in feb 02..would you mind showing me the shops over there? Anyhow, the quote I got was actually from a shop in kowloon bay and they are suppose to be the tein distributor in HK. You've probably heard of them but I am not sure whether they have the best price...Let me know..thankx

Hey William,

The front bumper is the L-Sportline I got through GTAutosport.
As for the seats, they're just Recaro "neck rests" I added to the stock seats.

Davezaristo,

The Sole Agent I know of is located in ToKwaWan.
Give me a few days, I'll make a couple of phone calls and let you know what the pricing is over here.

Guys, feel free to give me a shout when you're in HK.

Yet another V300 owner on the board. Cool, I was halfway embarassed when asked so many questions and have no idea how to answer them. Only had the lexus in my hand for 3 minutes, never owned a Japanese car before, don't blame me for not being able to answer yall.

Thumbs up

Anyone notice the eyelids on the car? Those look pretty good Bishop!

Btw, what are those red things you can see through the grill?

Intellexual,

Thanks
I got the "eyelids" online. If you or anyone is interested, check out
www.takakaira.com

The red things you see through the grill are 2 Hella aftermarket horns I replaced the OEM ones with. The JDM OEM horns on the Aristo are absolutely pitiful.

Regarding the intercooler, unfortunately it's not being utilized to it's full potential as I am still running stock boost
I am having trouble finding a good alternative to the TOMS ECU, which I am leaving as an absolute last option. I really don't want pay close to USD1500.00 to go from 280ps(stock) to 350ps(TOMS)

davezaristo,

I haven't gotten around to getting the prices for the TEIN HR's yet. I'll try and get them out to you by the end of the week.

Bishop,

Thanks for the info.

I'm also curious about those Recaro head/neck rests and where I could get them.

Do you have any specific info about those Hella horns as well? What model # are they, and are they loud? This may be a dumb question, but are there 2 horns stock? or did you just have 2 put in?

Thanks for the info!

Default go with the cs if your going to go with tein suspension

the type cs is way better and also made for these luxury cars. i myself have the new gs 430 2002' and have this suspension installed on my car and i'll tell you this much it was a piece of cake to install and they ride way better than my old hks hiper coilovers that was on my sc4 that i had. you could also go with jic coilovers there supposto be 16 way adjustable and the tein is only 15 way. its up too you though i'd go with the cs if i were you. hope this helps.
