Default Spend my $1500.00.....

I want a firmer and lower ride with excellent steering response...

I DO NOT want this car to ride rough however..

What components should I replace/add to my 01 GS430 with 114K miles.

I'm thinking... 17" wheels and the tein CS v2. hit up todd at tmengineering.net to get them.

If you can't spring for the CS, maybe the bilstein/eibach combo with the bumpstops cut... It'll be firm and the 17"s will help soak up the bumps. I had a similar setup with 18"s and it was a little harsh... the 17"s would have helped a lot.

buy everything used
shocks
struts
springs
sways
braces
Oh and new bushings
and you will still have money left over
and 19s will be heavy and thin tire sidewall- but who cares

whoa- 19"s?? well, there goes the aforementioned sidewall...

Here's my new diagnosis...

tein cs v2 or a used version of the v1 - $800-$1200
new or used edfc so you can control the dampening inside the car - $200-300
new daizen steering wheel bushings from tmengineering.net - $40
used daizen or trd sways - $400

you can probably get away with buying all of it used for 1500 but you'd have to wait for screaming deals...

99 gs 300 - he's running 19's already. i agree- the tein cs is almost a must have... whether it be the new ones or the old ones - it'll be better than most a majority of the shock/spring setups out there.

do the CS V2 for sure, I did springs and know in the short term I will be doing the CS.

another option for the coils is Status Auto Design at 310-937-8382, talk with Dave, he is always available and his guys do great work. They have a nice lowered GS there.

You can also try Dynamic off Bolsa, he is at 714-899-2939, Lexus Master Certified and doesnt scoff at lowered cars ...

1500 hundred dollars is alot to play with but depends how you use it.. There's always deals in the classifieds and even on ebay.. For example you can get front and rear STB for 118.00+shipping and theres always S/S, coils on ebay for really cheap.. A nice S/S combo and 19's would look hot. You could really have all three items listed in your poll if you did it right...
