start by inspecting your front brakes, mainly check for warped front rotors.

what mobilyte said, sounds like warped brake rotors... have you noticed your brakes getting weaker lately?

get new rotors, or get them turned, and get new pads.

Personnaly i would get new rotors, reason being depending on how bad ur rotors are warped, u may have to get them grinded down how much have to be taken off only the mechanic knows, but keep in mind the thinner the rotor the faster they heat up, and in no time they will warp faster.

Don't get them machined. Get new ones.

How many miles on those rotors, and how many times have they been cut? Or just go to a good shop, if they tell you that they cannot cut them anymore, get new ones. If they can cut them, let them do it. It will not ruin anything.

Definitely get the rotors checked out. Get them turned/cut if possible...I have done this twice already since I got the car 60K miles ago and haven't had to get new rotors yet. It usually removes all shaking and takes an hour or two of time.

Have them rotors cut. You may also need to replace them if they are that bad.
