Default Lowering Using New Tein CS

I ordered the Tein CS coil overs to go on my 98 GS4 with 18's because I wanted to lower it a little and close the gap but I was wondering how it will affect the alignment. Do the Teins come from the factory set to lower the car by a certain amount? If I lower the car will I be able to get a true alignment? I have read threads that say you can't get the car within the original spec once it's lowered, is that true or is that true only if you lower a lot. Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance,
Carmen

can't say much about the lowering, i never follow it anyway. but i am pretty sure you have wide enough of a range on lowering to do what you need here (doesn't sound like you want to slam the car)

the fact is on the gs, mild lowering will start to throw out the alignment already. i think even with ltuned drop, maybe 1" or so? the alignment will be right at the boundary

I installed mine just the way they came (ive got 18's too) and got a 1" drop in the front and .25" drop in the back which is perfect for me (3 finger gap each wheel) and no alignment yet !

You probably wont be able to set your camber back to factory specs but you can set the toe. Its ok to run some negative camber as long as your toe is within spec youll be fine. Try to get both as close as possible to stock, just make sure that toe is dead on, and if you have negative camber it wont hurt, it will just help you in the twisties!
