Default 8 Piston Brake Calipers!

I'm not sure how many of you guys have seen this yet, but I was looking around ebay and stumbled across these!

Anyways, the question I have is that the rotor is 330mm which is 13". How does this compare to the 6pot systems with 14" rotors?

well first of, unknown brand name, thanks but no thanks....... when it comes to brakes, quality counts a lot imho

aside from that, i would get 6 pot with 14s, look better, and i think performace is about the same anyway.

i am very surprised with 8 pots they still use 13", that doesn't make sense. they should get larger rotors so it has more surface to play with

and btw, wald (brembo) has a custom 8/4 setup for the sc430 which will fit the gs

More pistons does not automatically means better stopping.

Also, a potential headache with these no name brands is that you cannot easily get replacement parts, such are pads ...

I agree with HKGS300, brake bias must be balanced. See StopTech's test on a excessive large front brake rotor (which applies to excessive large piston pressure), the large BBK stops LONGER.

but the pistons are sooo small....ur better off haveing 4 big ones...

like mentioned above, more pistons don't mean better stopping power!!!

personally, i wouldn't go anything over 6piston, and i'd go name brand like stillen or rotora...noticed i didn't mention brembo, 'cause they are way over priced, u just paying 4 the name and the stopping power doesn't match the AP6piston 14.25''...
