Default squeak from my tein CS.. What is it?

i've noticed a squeaking noise coming from mostly the rear of the car at slow speeds over bumps. i wanted to see if anyone else have this problem and if you have what was the cure for it. or any ideas on how to cure it?

it's on the tein cs. it's a piece of plastic right between the spring and the shock, towards the top i believe

So can you hear a squeek when the car is bounced?

How did you verify it is the Tein that is makng the noise?

You just said it is "mostly the rear", so it could be other things as well.

i cant bounce the car hard enough to hear anything when the car is parked. i hear it at the end of the "coming down part" of a bounce. i can expect to hear it when i see railroad tracks.

i think its teins because with stock shocks i didn't hear anything and after i installed tein's i hear it alittle. and after i got 19in wheels the noise kinda got louder over time. i can't think of anything that it could be.

and when i mentioned "mostly in the rear" i ment mostly in the rear shocks/ suspension because i dont hear it at high speeds or on smooth roads. only when the car is bounced.

hope this clears it up

Just wanna make sure you got any other possibilities covered.

How's your sway bar bushings?

It does appear it could be the Teins, but there is a clue if you can't repeat the problem by bouncing the car.

Try like three big people sitting on the open trunk ledge and have them try bouncing it.

As rominl said, the squeaking is usually the plastic piece on top rubbing against the springs. Those plastic pieces are called dust shields. EIther remove then or grease it up. My car used to squeak like a **** until i put some grease on the dust shields. Anyways, good luck finding the problem.

I was getting a squeaking sound from the front end when going over bumps slowly - I have Tein CS'. The source of the squeaking turned out to be my Daizen swaybar bushings - lubed them and the squeaking disappeared.
