Which TEIN should I buy for my setup & style of driving?????
Hi guys, newbie here. I am modding my GS 300. When I am done, I will post pics. I just got some 18" rims and new tires on. I don't like the gap between the wheel and the car so, I want to drop it about an inch. I don not want to lose ride quality. I like a smooth ride. Added performance wouldn't hurt though. I read the sticky on the Tein CS and love them. The price is kinda high though. Will my second chioce accomplish the same thing as the teon CS? Here are my options below:
1: TEIN High Tech Springs
2: TEIN CS Type Coilover

I would try and go with the coilovers if yo can afford it. All I can say is do it right the first time. I didnt and it cost me a lot more than if I would have just gotten them. They ride great, I think better than stock, and if you ever upgrade the 18's you can adjust your suspension again.

Get coilovers if you can.. You may run into someone selling some used ones in the .. It happens you just have to keep an eye out..
The tein CS and Flex are both great.. i have been in a gS 300 with the flex and honestly its not that much difference from the CS to the Flex.. You can achieve a softer ride on basically any coilover by adjusting the softness.. I've also been in a GS 400 with the Bilstein PSS Coils and it felt great..
No matter what type of coilover you get they all do the job.. I went with CS because i cruise the car and enjoy the ride.. Its all in your personal preference and driving habits.. Good Luck bro..

I went with the Tein Ha's with edfc.... Because i found them for less than 1000.oo
and tell you the truth I love them I come from a Civic with tokico 5 adjustable and coilovers .. and EWW
so this compared to them is Crazy better and i have it dumped.... and full still Minus 3 clicks maybe 6 if full rotation and they ride considerable great
hope that helps you will find great deals on here

I'd say try to stay within the coilover family...Difference is night and day.
If not the Tein CS, than maybe the Flex's or HA's...or you don't have to stay with Tein's, Bilstein is another great bang for your buck too.

As a CS owner, I suggest you go ahead and 'spring' for the CS kit. Wheels, tires, and suspension is mostly what makes the car feel the way it'll feel on the road. If you shortchange on any of these (particularly tires and suspension), you sacrafice the feel of the car every single minute you use it for as long as you own it. It's a shame to get in an otherwise nice Lexus and realize, "rides like chit."
Seriously, the Tein springs might be fine -- I don't know -- but you won't have the option of adjustability in ride and height, and I think you'll be happy that you got the CS once you get them installed and dialed in.
