Default New SS lines, pads and smell coming off one brake

Hello,

2 weeks ago I installed Goodridge SS lines and Axxis Ultimate pads in front and Metal Master at the rears. Everything worked fine until I noticed a smell from the rear passenger side brake. It smells like the e-brake is engaged while the car is moving. Is this common for the break-in period? The funny thing is, no smell is coming from the other 3 brakes.

Thanks

The surest thing to do is to take the brake pad off of the suspicious rear side. Check to see if it is scorched (kind of like scorched popcorn). If unsure, remove the left rear brake pad and compare the two. They should have even wear (for the most part).

Thanks. I will check it out sometime next week. I had a shop look at it yesterday while doing something else and they only checked that one side and said everything looks fine.

one advice....try not to breathe in those "smell", those brake dust are highly hazard to lung..and for those semi-metallic pads..it's normal to get smell from them..but if the smell only comes from one corner...yea..you might want to check it out...btw...to confirm whether the smell is from your pad or not...does the smell smells like..a train..I know..it's weird I mention it..but that's the smell I get from my Axxis metal master

Revisting this thread after having driven two days with no smell coming out from the rear wheel wheel. But just now, it came up again. Will have to check it this week with a mechanic.
