Lowering my GS, which shocks & springs?
Im going to be lowering my gs300 soon and since im a still a new owner of my gs, i'd like to get some advice from ya'll...
Which shocks and springs should i go with? I'd like to only lower it an inch... and i'm hoping to stay under $1,000 but my recent findings show me that im going to be spending upwards of $2,000.... Please point me in the right direction.

There is plenty of info on the board do a search on coilovers.
I have Tein Flex on my GS, I dont think you will go wrong witht he Tein coilovers. YOu do need to decide which model you woule prefer though.
Ussually guys that get springs wind up going to coilovers later on.
If you do want shocks and springs I know some guys go with the bilsteins. But I like the adjustability of the teins.
Thats just me though.

See if you can find L-Tuned parts (in the classifieds or from Sewell Lexus). The only thing is that I notice you have an SD. I remember reading something that the suspension is more sporty than the normal GS. If so, you might be able to get away with some lowering springs. The SD does not look more lowered so Lexus probably just upgraded the shocks.
If you want a little more drop, Daizens and Espelirs are also nice springs.
If you go with shocks/springs (or just springs), the cost is definitely less than $1k installed. Install is the same which ever way you go.
If you go for coilovers, though, this is where you go over $1k. It should still be doable for under $2k installed.

Thanks for the referral NEO.
The L-tuned shocks and Daizen combo give the car a very nice drop. From everything that I've read they ride just as comfortable as stock but is very sporty on the handling. If I didnt need extra cash right now, I wouldnt be selling. Let me know if you're interested.

Just a slight correction. The drop is 1.9" front and 1.7" rear.
