Used suspension parts.....
I notice many used suspension parts coming throught the clublexus marketplace, some with an awful lot of miles on them. in fact, i'm in the market for a new/slighty used setup, and have been watching that forum daily.....
i've done a bit of searching but come up w/ no clean answer, (seems to depend a lot on how you drive the car)..the question i have is: what is the approximate life span on an aftermarket (i.e. L-tuned) shock? how about an Eibach coilover?
obviously, anyone (including me) who is buying aftermarket suspension parts, and aftermarket parts in general, probably drives their car (just a wee bit) harder than the avg stock car owner, reducing that parts life span additionally. seems to me, the idea of buying a 15k mile old coilover that costs $600 to install isn't a very smart move? yet i see them being sold all the time.... kind of like paying to intall, rotate, balance, and allign used tires w/ 30% treadware on your car?
thoughts?
