sorry, i had to
if it's a deep sounding woowoowoowoo it's probably just a tire or your alignment is off...bad wheel bearing while make more of a squeaking noise

So the wheel bearing sound is worse?

I have Yokahama AVS ES100 tires on my 95 SC4. I just picked up my car from the dealer today. I had a WooWooWoo sound coming from my rear - it showed up over the course of a couple days. The noise would go away on a hard left turn. It turns out it was my driver's side wheel bearing. I had it replaced along with the hub (the bearing must be pressed onto the hub) and the seals and labor set me back $700. Normally, I wrench on my car - but I lacked the press needed to install the new bearings. The parts alone are expensive. On my 95 SC4 the parts were:
Rear Wheel Bearing P/N 90369-43005-77 - List $114.78
Shaft Sub-Assy, RR (Hub) P/N 42301-30030 - List $188.97
Seal Type T Oil P/N 90311-63001 - List $20.39
Just for kicks and giggles I called the Toyota dealer as the rear on a SC is the same as the NA and TT Supra - They quoted me $400 but I doubt they factored in all the parts and labor required.
My advice - get it checked out by a mechanic you trust and go from there.

More than likely, it's the tires.
The AVS Sport is a nice sticky tire, but they get terribly noisy at about the mileage you have.
I have 'em on my GS in 20" and they make the same noise... mostly at about 40 mph or so- you can't hear them at freeway speeds.
