Default Supra Brakes & OEM 18" G-Spider Wheels

Does anyone know if the OEM 18" G-Spider wheels for the 3GS will clear the Supra calipers? I'm looking at these two possible upgrades to my 2nd gen GS.

i have never tried it, but if it fits over the new gs430 with those big brakes, i have a feeling it should be good with the supra tt brakes

Isnt there somebody here with those rims on the 2gen? See if they can do you a favor and measure it if possible.

No problem. I'm looking for a BBK and if this happens to be around $1000 and works, I'm all for it.

Although those are not the G-Spiders (), I would think the clearance is similar since both needs to fit over the 3GS430 brakes.

Are you using the stock 2nd gen brake calipers?

Chuck is just showing you the spacing between the OEM brakes and the rims.

if the GS430 rims are more than 15mm wider then its ok, i have them on my stock 17's with a 15mm spacer...

Be very very careful. I purchased new wheels about 8 months ago and 3 months later I purchased the Rotora BBK 6/4 setup. Guess what, they don't fit. I have Work wheels on order. This was a $2,000 mistake. Measure, mearsure, measure.

Unfortunately spacers didn't work for me. I tried the 15mm spacers. Any more and the wheel would have been beyond the fender. Again, measure, measure, measure. It can be a costly mistake.

i know this is an old thread - but anyone ever figure out the answer to this?

this = supra bbk on 2gs + g spider wheels or 18" stock 3gs rims.
