The steering is quite different between the 300 and the 400...the 300 has the ability to make a u-turn on a narrow street whereas the 400 ALWAYS requires a 3-pt turn.

Dont tell me you're thinkin of buying a new steering rack and paying/doing all that labor just because your steering is a little heavy. If you're really concerned about it, do the easier things first such as PS fluid, and then maybe steering rack bushings.

Steering rack bushings are too expensive for what you get, $65 shipped is too much. Some people here said they bought a rebuilt rack for $150. As matter as well add $85 to the cost of the bushings and have a whole new feeling.

Thats actually exactly what i did . I bought mine at the time thinking i needed it. And understand , this was before i did my LCA bushings, sways, brakes, wheels, shocks , and springs. So my car drove like ishh. But after researching the subject a little bit. Actually alot of researching. I know now the rack was not necassary, and its the reason its still in a box in my garage. I ended up doing all the upgrades listed above. And flushing my PS . And its pretty good now, I think my tie rod ends could be replaced but its not bad right now.
Also like Abdul had mentioned its not a huge difference in price between bushings and the whole rack, wich BTW included the inner tie rod ends. Although not the outer.

I'd go with JIC upgraded tie-rods for 170 for inner tie rods and bushings when i mess with the rack. The rods usually go before the rack does and replace the bushings while your there.

For now i'm doing LCA's, getting the sways on the rear, Koni's/eibachs and the TT brake swap and supra seats.
