Default need advise on trd stb

planning to buy the TRD (stb) for the gs400 will it fit over the engine cover and is it eazy to install and does it come with any screws ?

It will fit over the engine cover, and it's super easy to install. No screws needed, just reuse the nuts on your existing strut mounts. I don't remember the torque settings, but if you use the search function, you can find it easily.

its 41 ft/lbs...but i think thats way too loose...i went with 65 ft/lbs.

torque setting per the Japanese instruction sheet that comes with the TRD STB is definitely under 50 ft/lbs. Some where between 42 and 47 from the best of my recollection. As far as jacking up one side of the car, it just depends, some have had to, others found it wasn't necessary. It just depends on how the holes in the bar line up with the studs from the shock tower. If the holes don't quite line up, getting weight off of one of the wheels can be the answer. Once the STB is in place, you can still take off the engine cover when necessary for future service needs without removing the STB. Just loosen the nuts almost all the way off with out removing them completely. Then the bar can move up enough to allow the cover to slip underneath. No charge for this little service pearl.

It's 41 ft/lbs. I have a TRD stb for sale. $110 plus shipping.
