Default trd strut bar install

greetings all,
I'm having trouble installing the trd where it doesnt line up with the mount. But I figure I need to jack the car up. COOL.
BUT!! DO i leave the stock strut rings in place and put the trd bar over or take the strut rings out?
Thanks!

can use search function for this, is much faster than waiting for a response. but since im already posting....
Remove rings as they have said.
Jack oneside of car up.
Kick the tire/wheel until the screws move around and it fits. I know it sounds funny but i had to do it and it worked.

I left the rings on myself. I don't see where it makes any difference either way.
