Default My LS400 Brake install

Well first off, I have everything on and in working form. However, this wasn't as easy as I had hoped. I was under the impression that these bolted directly on with no questions asked. They don't or at least on a 1992 SC300 MT. I had to grind about 3mm of webbing off by the upper mounting bolt. I had to use the brake lines from the LS400 which wasn't a bid deal but didn't really expect that. The biggest disappointment was the fact that they do not fit over GS 17" wheels without at least 10mm of spacer. Again not a big deal I had some on hand, though I don't feel comfortable with only about 3 turns of thread onthe lug so I'm gonna order longer studs when I get some more money on hand. Some of this is probably my fault for not looking into the intall more.

Now on to the pros. They look gorgous. I got a pretty good deal on them, thanks, you know who you are and last but not least they stop like a ****. I didn't do anything to crazy yet b/c of the short lug studs, but I can hit my abs much sooner now with the LS brakes, which also leads me to believe I need much better tires (I guess I already knew that).

So I give this mod a as long as you know about these little suprizes, like I said is probably my fault anyways. Now on to the pictures....

oh and my car is filthy, I'll get more clean ones this weekend after finals

Here they are on a stock Neon RT wheel

PS I didn't know which rotor went on which side. Dose anyone know if I did them correct or if they are backwards. I personally don't think it really matters.

Thanks for any info.

Wow looks very nice!! I want!! I have slotted rotors same size as stock on the fronts of my '95, I think you might want to switch yours as they look like the slots should go the other way around...atleast mine are that way. Looks great though!!! Maybe this is a stupid question, but did the calipers already say lexus on them or did you make that happen?

They came that way from the person I bought them from, which he had done or at least as far as I know. Though I think I'm going to be removing them (stickers), they are kind of cheaply stuck on and I don't think they'll take the heat from higher speed braking. They also took alittle beating on the install, b/c I thought the GS wheels would fit. So when the got put on they got suffed up.

Thanks for the compliments.

They are suppose to be iRotors. However, I think I'll end up getting some Brembos blanks. But I'll see how these hold up. I has succesfully crack most of my rotors or heat spotted them to death.

Nice! I think the LS400 brake upgrade is next on my list (if they fit with my wheels)

Hey, I'll PM you as well, I need to know where you got the spacers, how big they are and what size studs you need, I'd like to wait and do it all at once properly...

Please give me the info, I have the same exact setup, plus where are the rotors from?

Forget the slots and drilled holes. Look at the internal vanes by looking down the edge. These should arch front to back. The slots/drilled cosmetic on the outside are done both ways by different manufacturers.
