Default What is a good size tires with 20's

I have the L-sportsline r/bumper and L-tuned sides(Thanks varcity). I have teins H.Tech lowering springs w/KYB shocks. TTE frnt lip is on the way. I have 245/35/20 velside tires on their now, came with the rim package. Want to change these out due to they are really loud above 70mph. I also get a ping noise over bumps at this speed as well. Just wondering , what is a good tire size and make for 20's with my set up. Looking for quiet most , performace 2nd. Thanks

I assume that you are not running a staggered setup since you have the same tire size all around. Most people on here run the 245/35/20 tires since it matches well to the original diameter. I have toyo and I think they are pretty quiet. Im sure there are quieter out there but as far as performance, looks and how long they last toyos are perfect for me. Toyo T1-S that is

Actually, 245/35 is about an inch too big over spec. 245/30 would be closer to spec. The problem with 245/30 is tire selection availability (or lack thereof) and the thin "rubberband" sidewalls. the 245/35 is the "solution" to these two problems. You just have to put up with some intermittent rubbing.

Thanks for the info neo. I always thought the 245/35 was the closest to spec

and persnally i would rather stay with 1" overspec than getting the 245/30. i dont' want to damage my rims

so personally i prefer 245/35

Thanks, but what brand gives the quietest ride, along with performance. Swinging toward p/zero's. Any objections?

I would like to know also. I have been thinking about going to a new tire and will be needing new tires soon so maybe I should try something different.

Thanks, how much are these running per tire? Where is the cheapest i can order on-line, think there kinda high priced in the stores around here. They want 255 a tire, and that's the cheapest i found them for.

well i got mine from insider sause so that doesn't count. i think tirerack has some of the best price coz' of super low shipping and no tax in most states.

for my 20s, it's about 250 bucks each, so about 1k per set. very good imho
