Default RMM STB for 99 gs 400

I have a ? regarding the STB.. MY concern is with the install and those three bolts on the strut...
I mean how do you take off the bolts without messing up the suspension? Does the cars weight hold the strut in position when installing the STB? Also is there a special torque that the bolts need to be at when tightning.. Sorry about all these ?'s but i want to do it right.....thanks

as long as the car is planted on the ground gravity or the weight hold it all in place as far as the trq values its approx 45ft lbs for the strut tower /mount bolts and please don not overtighten for they can snap and or round off and then you have to change to new mounts

Thanks johonny, So i guess its safe to unbolt the bots and use the car a weight to keep them in place?

Also ordered K@N drop in today so it will be here tonight. I think i might wait until i get the exhaust and do all at once... Than maybe I'll feel a difference.... tony

or you can put it in see if there is a diffrence

and do a writeup ..i know there will be a bunch of people buying 2nd gen Gs's now

and the more info they can get the better

i think the K& N air filter lets in more Air hence more fuel hence more HP right

What about the STB ? I guess its safe to do that? ABout the K@N, I was thinking about the the whole K@N intake cause i saw a writeup on that a few weeks ago but i really want to keep the quietness of the car pretty low.... I hope Everyone is right about that Blitz exhaust not being to loud or i'm going to have to sell it on CL. But i think it will be fine. iTS really going to dress up the rear of the car pretty nicely...Can't wait...

This should be fine. I've installed and reinstaled my be a few times with no issues whatsoever.

Glad to see that torque spec! Saved me a thread creation.

I get my RMM STB in another week or so!

Like everyone else dont worry about the suspension. It wont do anything if you unbolt it. I have the UGO STB, any other STB owners have to remove the black spacer or suspension support as it is called in the diagram that TLW posted? I am just curious if everyone had to remove that?
