Are cross drilled rotors directional
This may sound like a dumb question bit I think slotted and CD rotors are directional but I don't know which way they go. I looked at a bunch of pictures and seen them installed both directions. Could someone post a picture of the correct direction for the rotors. Thanks for any help.
I did do a search. It seems the direction is determined by the direction of the cooling vanes except the vanes in my rotors are straight. Does this mean they are not directional.

what kind of rotors do you have? i believe it depends which rotor(s) you have depends on the direction. For example, slotted rotors from Brembo is non-directional because the vanes are straight.

The C/D or slots part of the rotor are not directional and different brands do different things.
BUT, the rotors are directional. Look at the internal vanes from the top. The curves of the vanes should arch from the front to the back of the car. This will tell you which side to install.

Morris, I have the Brembo slotted rotors fron The TIre Rack and I had to no explicit instruictions nor do they have anything stamped on the rotor indiacating which side it goes. I futher folowed it up with the salespeople from the Tire Rack and they said it is non directional.
