Default Finally an inexpensive EDFC compatible Strut Bar

Okay guys finally we get some good news.

Tein makes a STB Front and rear for the GS and the IS and it fits with there EDFC. MSRP is only 135.00 each so our price should be at 100.00 or better.

THe GS part number is PBT76-01000 for the front and rear is PBT77-01000

Its made of A6000 Aluminum and has matching Green anodized plates on each end.

Cool. Any pics? I did not see it on their website.

Will this work for both the 300 and 400? And there will be questions on engine cover clearance.

According to the catalogue it works for the 300, 400 and 430, if you look at the design you can see how it sits nice and low so between those two things I bet there are no clearance issues.

I had to find a guy to scan it for me but I have the page from the catologue. Some times its good to be the boss

Well, hopefully someone can try it out. The 300, 400, and the 430 sit at different heights so low may not be a good thing. Too high, though, and the hood comes into play.

So who will be the guinea pigs for each model?

Default Tein Strut Bar

I just tried to order a set through a friend but he call Tein and they said it won't be out till spring, rough estimate. Tein also stated that strut bar fit on the GS300 with engine cover on so I think it will be the GS400 & GS430 with engine cover, hopefully. I still place an order with him for both the front and rear and I'll let you know once I get them.

It kinda looks like the RVM bar that was sold on Ebay. Hopefully it is not.

It'll be interesting to see cuz the 98-2000 GS300 engine sits lower than the 2001+ GS300 engine. The GS300's engine cover is wide too and is squared-off on the sides....not tapered down....which is probably the most challenging.

There should be no issue with the GS400 engine cuz its sits the lowest.

The GS430 seems to sit highest and the engive cover is pretty wide....but the good thing about it is that it tapers down on the sides.

If that bar can fit all of the GS with engine cover...then this would be great. I seriously doubt it though....I hope Im wrong. I guess time will tell.

my guess is anyone that sells Tein products should have them, I'm not sure if they are in inventories yet though
