Default Opinions on big brake caliper colors??

Ok, up next for me is to replace my big brakes that I sold last year. Im going to go with the Stoptechs again, I almost went AP Racing, but the Stoptechs support that they are made specifically designed for a car to spec.

Heres the question, I have a Mellinium Silver GS.....Black or Red calipers?????

If the car was Alpine silver, there would be no question....red.....I am partial to the red, but will the red look right on this shade of silver?

imho, they will both look great on the silver.

with your polish wheels though, i might tend to get red since it shows better imho

Seriously though, how about a custom color match? Mill silver inside the hi-polished may be extremely nice (maybe red font)

Jeff, keep in mind before you make your purchase that if you plan on showing your car at shows, RED is very played out... that's why I switched to Metallic Blue. At DUB or HIN, all you see is Red Brembo, StopTech, Rotora... ALL RED. I would either do Black or have Stoptech get you a set of blank calipers and have them shoot a custom paint with Logo... May cost you more per caliper but with the amount of money and time invested in your car, I would do it... If your car is just a daily/weekend driver, red is fine and will look good.

Well, Stoptech only makes them in red, black, and I think you can get a custom spray of yellow or dark blue. Hmmm, if they are getting custom sprayed for the extra cost, perhaps they can get them custom sprayed to be color matched. I will have to look into that tomorrow, I actually have my order form filled out and ready to fax.......I will sleep on this overnight.

As for the four corners....I know of at least two GS' that have the Stoptechs on all four corners, but Stoptech will swear up and down that they do not make the 4 corner kit for the newer GS'. They will also say if someone is running them then they are out of spec for the front to rear bias, etc.... My HRE's wont clear in the rear anyhow....so fronts only it is.

I was thinking about going with the chrome/ etched Rotors....but that might be a little too much bling. Plus, I loved my Stoptechs before, and Im getting a great deal on them to boot.
