Default Eibach/Bilstein install quote: $650 - uhh yeaaaah... And then you insult me??

I'm Chinese!! (relevance to come later)

So I go to Camelback Toyota and I ask the service guy if he could give me a quote for installing my eibach springs and bilstein shocks.

The guy punches into his calculator a few times and comes up with $650.

After I stopped laughing in his face, I thanked him for the laugh and walked out to check out the cars on the lot while my car was getting an oil change (98 GS300) and everything was cool until some dip**** salesman comes up to me and interrupts me while I'm on the phone and asks if I was looking for him. He said he advertises in the Chinese newspapers which is why he was wondering if I needed his assistance.

So I said to him:

"So you're only asking me since I'm Chinese? Not only that- but you're interrupting me on the phone. Don't you think that if I were looking for someone, I would be in the building as opposed to wandering around in the lot full of cars?"

He was speechless. I complained to management but eh- they're all a bunch of dip****s car salesmen.

I will NEVER be going back to Camelback Toyota. In fact, I'm quite tempted to buy CamelbackToyotaSucks.com and post my experience there.

Question for everyone: What did your suspension install cost?

Default i was quoted at 92 dollars an hour...

so basically- it was going to take 6 man hours to swap the shocks and springs.

at 650 bucks - they might as well do a crap job and screw up the vsc/abs sensors - there's no doubt they can pay for those too and still turn a profit.

My springs and shocks were installed by Lexus. They charged 5 hrs ($400) and another 100 for an alignment. I thought my install was high but 6 hours sounds like their including lunch and break for the tech
