Default coilover in winter?

I'm expanding my choices, I may consider coilover kit for the car, BUT I drive my car daily, including in the winter with all the salt. Just wondering if anyone here drive their car with coilover all year around and live in northern region where they see salt on the roads????

I am in Chicago and just bought a set of HKS coilovers as long as they are not made out of aluminum you should be ok. I was think the same thing when I was looking into coilovers and liveing in the windy city it gets pretty cold and a lot of salt on the road . But overall you should be ok what brand were you thinking of buying?

not too sure yet, I'm still debating if springs or coilover, I know coilover is the but its a considerable sum, I need as much funding as I can get on the Volvo right now.

ahahaha I know! I remember back in like 2000 I bought TurboXS boost controller locally for about $120 Cdn, then I saw one for sale at another shop's web site for $30 less, which is only extra 20miles of drive.

btw, have you seen Tein's springs? apparently S-tech can lower the car 1.73" all around and with almost same spring rate as the CS.

it looks quite good and tempting.

edit: add the link to the Tein's site.

for the record, the tein flex and the cs are both aluminum built, so they should be durable

I live in New Jersey and have had Tein Flex coilovers on my car for the past 2 years.

You should experience no rust as I have not in my 2 years.

Aluminum will not rust. It will corrode and pit thought.
