Default How to fix shifting brake calipers/pads on my GS (harmless but getting annoying)

As many of you know, apparently our cars make a clicking sound from one or more wheels whenever changing directions of the car and then applying the brakes.

Well mine have gotten much louder over the past year to the point that now I not only year it loudly (sounds almost like I ran over something) from all four wheels, but I can almost feel it. It's that pronounced.

I mentioned this to my service advisor when I was still under warranty and he said they just needed to grease something up and it would be fine. Well they never ended up fixing it, but they fixed everything else so I just didn't worry about it since it was a harmless annoyance. Well now it's worse and now I'm out of warranty (I know I could probably tell them they forgot to fix it before but my service advisor is a really nice guy and I don't feel like calling him on his mistake for something this minor). So how can I make this noise go away for good or at least for a very very long time? Grease? Where? What kind? Tighten something?

I have both of the factory service manuals too, so if you just tell me the correct parts I can probably get it from there.

I had the same problem about 1.5 years ago. Dealer replace both front calipers and problem never came back.

I had it with my rear brakes. When ever you come to a stop from a roll it clicks. I just replaced the shims and the problem was gone. All you need is new shims if it is the same problem i think your having.

Mine does it also but only on the first stop in the morning. Not bad enough for me to take the caliber sliding pins out and grease at this point.

I had the same problem. Apparently there's a TSB about this 'cause the dealer new exactly what I was talking about and fixed it free of charge.
