Thanks for checking in. Heck yeah, the brakes are great. I'm gonna try the MetalMaster pads soon, though cuz the Ultimates do squeak on low speed stops once warm.

The Metalmaster pads are the best compromise for our type of driving. Street driving mainly. Practically zero dust and no squeaking! I have the Metal Masters on mine.

When did you swap them out?

The Axxis pads are pretty common and be gotten in many auto shops. You might also want to try these. They are pretty good supposedly and the Endless name gives you another brand since you put your cars into shows.

No regrets on my BBK upgrade. Would I do it again? To spend that much money on a mod like this takes a certain "damn the torpedoes, full speed ahead" attitude and the aligning of the stars and planets, financially. That happened last year.

Note, Axxis and PBR are the same company. Also, don't forget the pads for a BBK like StopTech aren't the same size as stock. I just ordered new pads from StopTech, their prices weren't out of line as far as I could tell but I didn't comparison shop... I just wanted to make sure I had the right ones.

When the order showed up it said something like 'pads for Porsche calipers'. I thought dang they sent the wrong pads so I e-mailed them and they e-mailed back saying, no, the calipers on your GS are the same ones we offer for Porsches. I had a grin on my face.

Shame on you Bit. You did not read about your brakes before buying?

I got mine swapped out when I ordered them from DoubleWhoosh (Todd Matsubara or T. M. Engineering). I specifically asked for the the pads that are one step down from the ultimates.

I don't know where else to get them other than from Todd. But just as BitKahuna mentioned they are bigger pads than the OEM pads because they are for the StopTech calipers.

I just read the subject of this thread and noticed that T.L.W. was asking for long term feedback on the StopTech 355 BBK.

One word for you bro - GET THEM!!!

Awesome stopping power and feel. I replaced all the brake lines on my car with the steel braided ones at the same time when I did this install. Can you imagine a parachute coming out behind you when hit the brakes? Well that is how these brakes feel. Very firm and linear feel.

I would do it again if I could in a heartbeat!

Here are two old pics to whet your appetite:

Why do you always have to rub that in? (that I have puny 18's and not some mega 20's like you)................
